What colours will match this shade of yarn?

Choosing your colours for your next project is exciting, but how can you tell which colours will compliment each other and which will clash? 

Neutral shades such as grey, white, cream, black, taupe and beige will match with almost any colour, and can help 'tone down' bright vibrant shades. 

But what about matching bright vibrant shades together? Many designers use the Colour Wheel to help find complementary colours.

Basically, colours located opposite each other on the wheel, any three colours equally spaced around the colour wheel forming a triangle, or any four colours forming a rectangle (two pairs of colours opposite each other) will complement each other well.
